Dr Peter Fong becomes the first New Zealand Panelist
May 21, 2024The APC (Advanced Prostate Cancer) Society is a non-profit organization with a mission to enhance the treatment and care standards for men with advanced prostate cancer. Central to its efforts is the organization of the Advanced Prostate Cancer Consensus Conference (APCCC), a gathering since 2015, that brings together leading global experts to discuss and debate issues and complex decisions surrounding advanced prostate cancer management.
Canopy and Auckland Hospital Medical Oncologist Dr Peter Fong has been selected to join the expert panel. Dr Fong becomes the first New Zealand panelist. He started the formal medical oncology prostate cancer practice in New Zealand in 2009 and is the medical oncology adviser to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of New Zealand. This shows his dedication to the field of advanced prostate cancer care in New Zealand.
